Cookery taster sessions!

Cam Sight is organising a series of cookery skills sessions for local people with blindness and low vision.

The sessions will be run by Cam Sight member of staff Nick Burr.  Nick worked as a chef before losing his sight and now he’s sharing not only his cookery skills but also his adapted techniques and experiences as a blind cook.

The first session is taking place on Saturday 28 April, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, at Impington Village College. The group will independently cook a tagliatelle ragu from scratch, starting with ordering the ingredients to the end result. Places available for people, 16 years and over living with low vision or blindness.

The sessions are free of charge as a donation was provided by the Santander Foundation, which offers Discovery Grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.

Please contact Nick Burr at Cam Sight on 01223 420033 Ext. 29 or to book a place.
