About Us

Cam Sight is a registered charity working with blind and partially sighted people of all ages in Cambridgeshire.

We were founded in 1912 and are very proud of our long service to the local community.

Our vision is that visually impaired people of all ages county-wide are aware of support and opportunities available and in particular of the independence achieved through technology and equipment designed for those with no vision and low vision.

Cam Sight’s newly refurbished Low Vision Equipment and Technology centre in Cambridge was officially opened by our Patron Dame Mary Archer DBE MA. It is hoped our refurbished premises in Cambridge and Chatteris will inspire people to visit for information, demonstrations and a chance to try out equipment.

We would like to thank everyone who donated to our Centenary Building Appeal to redesign Cam Sight for people with sight loss. Phase one of our building project is now complete.
