This February the Cambridge Older People's Enterprise (COPE) is launching its fourth series of Talking Together, a free programme that offers weekly telephone-based discussion groups for older adults.

All their discussion groups are suitable for older people with visual impairment as they require only a telephone. The topics, ranging from local National Trust properties to nutrition, are intended to inspire stimulating conversations and the opportunity to learn something new.

Of particular interest in this series is a group that has been designed specifically for people experiencing visual impairment -  "Exploring Kettle's Yard through touch."

Exploring Kettle's Yard through touch
2pm Thursday 25th February. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th March. 1st April.

Artist Rachel McGivern and staff from Kettle’s Yard have designed these sessions for people experiencing visual impairment to explore and discuss the Kettle's Yard art collection through touch. You will be sent specially created ‘raised line’ reproductions of Kettle's Yard artworks. Sessions will include audio descriptions of the artworks and discussions about ideas and themes inspired by the artwork.

Please see their flyer below which includes details of all the groups and a registration form.
