Paul Jackson For my third go at the London to Cambridge Bike Ride, which I'm doing with my very good friend and cycling buddy John Gardner, I've decided to raise money for CamSight, a local charity that helps people living with low vision and blindness to live the lives they choose.

I'm currently recovering from retinal surgery, which has had a profound impact on my personal and professional life, and which has given me some small insight (forgive the pun) into what life can be like with compromised vision. Whilst I hope the eventual outcome for me will be a near return to full sight, that isn't an option for everyone, of course.

I'd therefore like to support CamSight in its work to help improve the lives of those with serious vision problems and blindness. I initially set a target of £200, but this was reached on the first day of posting by lots of very generous people! The total now stands at £400 (which is fantastic!) but more would be better, of course, so please do support me if you feel able. Paul Jackson
