Lunch and Walk in March

Every month we hold a 'lunch and walk' activity at the Ye Olde Griffin pub, located on the High Street in March. CamSight service users, volunteers and guides are welcome to join us. 

This popular activity allows everyone to get together for a monthly pub lunch in the heart of March where you can enjoy some good food and good conversation. Once finished, there is the opportunity to take a short walk to West Park and back, which is no more than a mile round trip, accompanied by a volunteer as a sighted guide or unassisted. A reasonable amount of fitness would be desirable to sustain the walk, but you can go at your own pace. For some, the lunch is more than enough to enjoy without the walk involved. 

The activity runs on the fourth Thursday of every month, and 2026 dates are listed below:

• 22 October 
• 26 November (last one of 2026).
