Our custom-built vehicle, equipped with a range of low vision equipment and technology assists our Community Outreach Workers to offer practical and emotional help across Cambridgeshire.

When it is safe to do so, the Mobile Unit will visit people at home, our support groups and rurally isolated areas to demonstrate items from talking watches and large button phones, to digital magnifiers and Smart Home Hubs. The Unit also displays mobility items such as white canes and games including large print playing cards and tactile Scrabble.

We plan to hold a range of sight awareness days and pop-up sessions at venues such as community centres and libraries throughout Cambridgeshire. If you would like the Mobile Unit to visit your area please email Chris Feakes, Mobile Services Lead or phone 01223 420033.
