'Tile-Making Workshop' 

Monday 10 July, 10am -1pm.

This creative session is inspired by the painted walls in David Parr House. Learn about David Parr, his work and the stories of the house, then work in clay, plaster and foil to create 3D relief patterns using leaves and flowers. Go home with your plaster and foil relief tiles.

 

'Collage Workshop' 

Monday 17 July, 10pm - 1pm.

The creative session is inspired by the words and patterns of David Parr House. Learn about David Parr, his work and the stories of the house, then work with a mix of paper, textiles, pastels and paints to create a 3D tactile collage.           

                     

'Flower Pounding and Floral Wall Hanging Workshop' 

Monday 24 July, 10pm - 1pm. 

Learn about the Japanese art of flower pounding or Hapa Zome and make your own floral wall hanging. Learn about the flowers and foliage captured in David Parr’s designs and about Elsie Palmer, David Parr’s granddaughter and her love of gardening. In this workshop, you will experiment with flowers as an artistic material making prints from pounded petals and wall hangings from live plants.

For adults (18+) with low vision and blindness. No experience needed – everyone is welcome. Free of charge but booking is essential via 01223 311680 or email. Please get in contact to discuss any access requirements.
