At 9.11 am on a hot sunny Saturday morning, Nick and Jenny were on Jesus Green, Cambridge trying to figure out how to put the Cam Sight flag together and get it to stay upright!

We were there to cheer on the awesome staff team from Domino Printing UK, who were doing a sponsored run/walk to raise money for Cam Sight.

There were 5 runners starting and finishing their individual runs from Jesus Green and 2 walkers finishing at Jesus Green. In addition, there were another 8 runners completing their miles in a variety of places including whilst on holiday!

The Jesus Green runners set off at 10am – I think Amber wanted to go with them! She certainly barked a welcome to the first returnee, Penny, when she got back at just past 10.30. The other 4 were running a longer circuit – very brave in the heat! They said that the sight of the Cam Sight flag at the “finish line” spurred them into a faster finish!

In total the runners/walkers pledged to complete 137.14 miles between them – in the end they smashed it at 142.45 miles and have raised over £3,000 for Cam Sight!

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to those who took part – Amber, Andrew, Andrew, David, Emanuela, Jack, Jessica, Jon, Julian, Josie, Lou, Penny, Steven, Thomas and Yuichi!

We’d also like to say a massive thankyou to Domino UK for matching the funding raised by the team.
