Prof Keziah Latham

Kez Latham PhD Prof Cert LV FCOptom is Professor of Optometry at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) in Cambridge, where she runs the Low Vision Service within the University Eye Clinic and teaches the assessment and management of people with visual impairment to undergraduate optometry and dispensing optician students. She was awarded the 2017 Neil Charman medal for research excellence by the College of Optometrists for her low vision research. Kez has worked in partnership with Cam Sight for over 15 years, and is delighted to join the Board of Trustees in 2022.

David Taylor (Treasurer)

After leading a research team in the chemical industry, David retrained as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor working for large accountancy firms in Cambridge for over 27 years providing many local companies with advice before semi-retiring in 2022.
Dame Mary Archer (Patron)

Dame Mary started her career as a physical chemist and taught Chemistry in Oxford, Cambridge and London. She has had a long association with the NHS, serving as chairman of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust until 2012, and is President of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and Patron of Cambridge Global Health Partnerships.
Nick Redmayne (Chairman)

Nick Redmayne has spent the majority of his life in Cambridge having moved here with his family in 1962. Nick has always worked in the chartered surveyor/estate agency business having started with a local firm in 1977. In 1991 he and two others set up Redmayne, Arnold and Harris.
Vera Shilling

Vera worked in Health and Safety at Bournemouth University, Cambridgeshire County Council, and most recently the National Trust. Following her sight loss, she joined CamSight as a member and volunteers in our Centre to conduct our ring-around service. She also runs discussion groups among clients to feedback thoughts and experiences to strategic decisions.
Richard Newbery (Vice-Chairman)

After training as a solicitor Richard specialised in corporate work at law firms in London and Cambridge, where he was a partner. In 1996 he became legal director and company secretary of a publicly quoted company operating private hospitals and nursing homes and subsequently of an international group manufacturing and distributing healthcare equipment worldwide.
James Stewart

Jim worked for 32 years in the NHS as a professional manager ending up as CEO of a health authority in north London. He took early retirement and pursued a second career as an elected councillor in local government and voluntary work through the Rotary Club of Cambridge and the Cambridgeshire Rehabilitation Club for Blind and Partially Sighted People.
Sean Rock

Sean Rock BSc (Hons) M.C.Optom Dip SV Prof Cert Med Ret is a leading Optometrist at DH Thomas. As a local optometrist, Sean has been fundraising for Cam Sight for about 20 years and was proud to have been asked to join the board of trustees of CamSight in 2009.
Linda Fairbrother

Linda has had a long career in broadcasting, as a radio and television presenter and reporter, most recently working for ITV Anglia News. She first became aware of CamSight after reporting on a ‘Blind Beauty’ course about 20 years ago and as a result became a volunteer.
